Loretta VanPelt

Associate Consultant

Loretta VanPelt is an Associate Consultant of The FutureWork Institute. She has extensive experience as a Corporate Consultant, Project Manager and Facilitator. She consults and facilitates at all levels within the organization. She excels in areas of organization assessment and the development of comprehensive approaches to working with diversity and creating an environment of inclusion.

Loretta has 20 years of corporate experience with a Fortune 500 Company. Ten of those years were spent as a Senior Leader responsible for multiple accounting/finance functions. For over 14 years she has helped clients to develop short and long term strategies for accessing the skills and talent of their workforce while achieving personal, group and professional goals. Loretta understands the complexity of driving Diversity and Inclusion in an organization. She has worked with Chief Diversity Officers, Senior Executives and Human Resource Professionals to help them define their business case, establish the right teams, build accountability measures and articulate the message. Loretta has managed client relationships and provided project management services for many major clients.

Some of her Diversity and Inclusion Consulting and Project Management activities include: identifying the business case for Diversity and Inclusion; culture audits and focus group; audit recommendation strategies; applying a Diversity and Inclusion lens across all aspects of HR policies; working with Diversity Councils and Affinity Group Strategies; conducting Executive Leadership briefings and organizing, vetting talent and managing resources for projects as large as 26,000 employees.

Loretta has worked with clients in many sectors including: consumer products, health care, manufacturing, financial services, pharmaceutical, government agencies, construction, and service industries for such clients as: Abbott Laboratories, Honda Motors, ARAMARK, Johnson and Johnson, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, Marriott International, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Microsoft, Chrysler Corporation, Raytheon, CIGNA Insurance, Toronto Dominion Bank, Ford Motor Company, US Army Tank Command, GlaxoSmithKline and Verizon Wireless.

Loretta holds a BS in Business Administration from Wayne State University. She earned a Master’s of Science from Central Michigan University. Loretta is a Certified Administrator of the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI).
