Andrea Cisco

Managing Director, Senior Consultant

Andrea Cisco is an experienced and passionate facilitator and consultant with more than 20 years of serving the global, corporate, nonprofit and academic sectors. She has vast experience in workforce change and managing the diverse workforce with its myriad issues: work and personal-life fit, racism, cross-cultural and generational challenges. Andrea consults with leaders to develop strategies and solutions most appropriate to the ever-changing challenges they face.

As a Senior Consultant in the Global Diversity Practice at Towers Perrin, she developed and refined methodologies for the diversity practice and managed large-scale projects for Fortune 500 clients. Andrea has coached leaders on issues such as sexual harassment and managing diversity related dilemmas. She has consulted in Canada, Australia, Germany and the United Kingdom and has travelled extensively.

Andrea consults with clients to establish their Diversity and Inclusion strategies from the initial research phase to the various implementation stages. She has been engaged as mentor-coach for newly promoted diversity professionals. Andrea has helped numerous clients to establish diversity councils and facilitated them from their beginnings until they reached standalone maturity. She has written policies for employee networks, facilitated their implementation and monitored their progress.

Andrea designs traditional and e-learning programs for all organizational levels. She also works in the virtual environments of Second Life, Protosphere and Unisfair. She conducts train-the-trainer sessions and designs toolkits. She co-authored The Giraffe & Elephant Workbook Series, a selection of diversity modules based on the concepts of Dr. Roosevelt Thomas, including five participant and five facilitator manuals. She also designed Diversity Leadership Academies for The American Institute for Managing Diversity. Andrea has also written publications, including “Housework: The Art of Managing Diversity” and “Skillfully Managing Diversity: An Approach Using ‘My Diversity Manager’.”

Andrea has designed and implemented mentoring programs from the selection process stage through the evaluation phase. She facilitates the mentor-mentee relationship; trains mentors and mentees in preparation for their mentoring experience; monitors and provides follow-up consulting to clients and mentoring pairs or circles during the mentoring cycles.

Andrea received her Master of Science in education from Long Island University, with a focus on guidance and counseling. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Hunter College CUNY, with a major in sociology and language.
