Melanie Miller is an Associate Consultant with The FutureWork Institute. As a highly accomplished and sought-after consultant, trainer and speaker, Melanie has achieved great success in linking persuasive human relations skills with sound business practices for leading companies in varied industries such as healthcare, energy and manufacturing, education, governmental agencies and non-profits.
For more than 20 years she has offered organizations and corporations human capital management consulting, speaking and training services, with a focus on optimizing organizational effectiveness and cross-cultural understanding. Having conducted hundreds of workshops and speaking engagements, Melanie consistently receives extraordinary reviews and outstanding evaluations.
Having served several years in corporate America in a sales and advertising capacity, Melanie uses her “business lens” to provide a multi-faceted approach to diversity and inclusion both in North America and internationally. Additionally, she has been a project manager and developer of numerous programs incorporating the components of leading, communicating, managing and leveraging organizational strength through leadership, diversity, inclusion and cross-cultural competence. Her professionalism, customer focus, quality, respect and integrity are the values she uses to achieve stellar results.

By developing an integrated and strategic suite of solutions to diversity and inclusion, Melanie guides employees to achieve their full potential and organizations to meet and exceed their business objectives. She has developed and led training and consulting sessions for individual contributors, management, senior leadership and executives of various organizations.
In addition to being certified in several national programs for leading companies, one example of her commitment to excellence is her multi-year relationship with IBM, including being charter faculty for the implementation of their groundbreaking Minority Women in Leadership Institute. A featured speaker at The Harvard University Women’s Leadership Institute, she has also been featured in numerous publications, podcasts, and other media. Melanie has worked with many noteworthy companies including Coca-Cola, AT&T, Merck & Co., McKesson, Sodexo, Anheuser-Busch, CIGNA, Siemens Medical, NASA, Microsoft, USPS, Verizon Wireless, Citigroup, Lockheed Martin, Amgen, Toyota and ALCOA. These relationships have allowed her to work both domestically and abroad.
Additionally, Melanie has led teams and engaged with The Johnnetta B. Cole Global Diversity and Inclusion Institute’s Chief Diversity Officer Forum and Linkage’s annual summit on leading diversity. She is also on senior faculty for The American Institute for Managing Diversity’s Diversity Leadership Academy, a community-based initiative.
Previously, Melanie was the Director of New Business Development for the advertising agency of King, Chambers & Co., expanding their revenue base more than 100%. Prior, she worked with BellSouth Advertising & Publishing where she won numerous sales awards as well as an appointment to the BellSouth Hall of Fame. She was selected for Who’s Who for Young Professionals and Presidential Who’s Who Among Business and Professional Achievers.
